Tell me about the early days of Feedonomics.

While working and managing feeds at a large advertising agency in LA, we tested and tried every legacy product feed platform out there in the marketplace. We became increasingly frustrated when we experienced firsthand the shortcomings of those platforms.

Armed with this knowledge, and the fact that my brother Robert Roizen and I are software engineers, we set out with the vision of creating the leading feed platform in the industry.

We quickly realized that other agencies, brands, and retailers have the exact same problems that we had, namely how we do scalably optimize product data for the world’s largest marketing channels?

Gaining Traction and Other Barriers

It was a challenge in the beginning. We aren’t backed by any kind of venture capital. The money we put into this business came from our own pockets and we continue to reinvest in the business. Every major decision we made was carefully weighed. Our persistence paid off and we have made great strides since our early days.

There have been some growing pains related to our rapid growth (no pun intended) but we have taken these lessons and created a unique company, not only in terms of the groundbreaking technology and service that we provide, but in our commitment to our culture.

Creating a strong work culture and having a healthy organization is paramount to our success. We bring the best out of our employees by fostering growth.

The hard work and dedication have paid off in many ways. We were recently selected by Inc. Magazine as a top 100 firm on the Inc. 5000 list, an annual compilation of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Feedonomics also made the top 10 in the advertising and marketing categories. We are proud to be in the top 10 of Los Angeles companies and in the top 20 of California companies.
